- So when did you get started in the music business?
  
  Benjamin: I've been doing this for years professionally since 1995 i really started as a CEO of a company titled Deuce8 records we released a few albums from such artist as Crafty, Sweet-P, and Walt nut then I decided after so many years to branch off and form BJ & J entertainment. I put out my first album in 2000 titled Mama Keep Ya Head Up and I'm still going strong with the release of Mrbenjamin2008.
  
  What are you currently working on?
  
  Mr Benjamin presents: - It Is What It Is (compilation) that's gonna be off tha chain, there will be some huge major names on it, BJ & J is also currently working with big Sherm (gospel rapper) Drako, Shocka, Nuttcase, D-Menace which all as well will have there own solo projects as well as Young Fast & James Supo 211 & Pop-Sicko, Yung Bird-E we also have the Northern Flow mixtape which is completed and Rat Poison vol. 1 mixtape also completed.
  
  Shandal: so what are you ultimately trying to archive in your rap career?
- Benjamin: Well I have already been well archived, I just received the west coast hip hop CEO of the year award BJ & J Ent I also received the state of washington governors recognition award from Gary Locke the king county proclamation for April 13th 2001 to be Mr Benjamin day in King County, Seattle 2003 Best of the Best award for Seattle Weekly best (local entertainer) city of Seattle office of the mayor achievement award from Paul Shell Oct 31st 2000.
